If you could clearly describe the physical pain of Fibromyalgia you would be one of the great dark poets of your time. One way to describe this pain is Dr. Kevorkian, the one they call Dr. Death, who is presently in prison has helped many Fibromyalgia victims commit suicide. Let’s think about that. The PAIN is so terrible and griping, you would rather not even exist. PAIN. PAIN, PAIN, OH MY GOD THE PAIN. It stalks you like a demon. An eternal possession that seems to never end. It drives you insane and the pain THE GOD DAMNED PAIN is only one aspect of this hideous disease.

(1) Tender Points
For purposes of medical diagnosis see the illustration showing 18 “Tender Points”. If you hurt in 11 of these points and have eliminated other possible diseases then you are put on the Fibromyalgia map. Out of nowhere, for no apparent reason, like a snake-bite you suddenly have neurological pain that feels like a migraine in your lower back. These are called “flare ups”. On a scale of 1 10, 10 being the worst, one can have pain in most or all of their body at a grade of 10. When a flare up subsides, you still remain in pain in many parts of your body. Upper shoulder blades and out into your arms and legs. Sciatica, either of two nerves that run from the back of the hip (middle of buttock) down the thigh to the calf are 2 out of 18.

(2) Muscular Cramps
These “tender points” on a neurological level are also called trigger points. Trigger points are like an electrical circuit breaker that controls several lights in an area of your house. Or in this instance, groups of muscles, ligaments and tendons down your legs or arms. So when you have a flare up in a specific tender point, the muscles around that area respond to that neurological amperage and it tightens up the muscles like a fist or charley-horse cramp. Now I have neurological PAIN and muscular cramping PAIN along with Carpal Tunnel. If I do too much physical activity or simple typing, my fingers, hands, toes and feet get stuck and/or swell causing hardening of the tendons as joint pain. Then, after the nerve is amplified in pain for years it finally burns out causing permanent damage in the form of numb tingling feelings down my left leg and up both arms. And the worst is my stomach, intestine and colon. Anyone can relate to pain. We’ve all felt pain and know that some day the pain may go away. But this Velcro numb tingly feeling is unfamiliar and every time you move you have this Numb Tingly Velcro Feeling contrasted with burning skin.
(3) Nerve Damage
After 5 years or so, the pain and weakness may cause a Loss of Neuro-Muscular Coordination. One may experience electrical surges that bolt up the spine or down from the sciatica through the legs. Causing the muscles to spasm and then collapse. Causing one to fall down. Ultimately this results in a permanent numb tingling dis-coordination with burning skin in any or all parts of the body.
